Felling heads cut off a standing tree and load the tree onto a trailer. The Naarva felling heads have a guillotine shear which makes them suitable for land clearing and for firewood production. The guillotine can cut close to the ground so the stump height is minimal. The guillotine can be operated under snow. It is much less sensitive to damage when compared to a chain bar. The jaws of the grapple are sharp, so the felling head can be used for de-limbing of some conifers. The felling heads come in two versions. The regular felling head cuts off one tree at a time or a cluster of saplings if the cluster can be captured inside the guillotine jaws. The accumulating felling head stores several stems in the grip and enables the stems to be cut from different places. The bundle can then be dropped off. This is a very useful feature for example when highway departments are clearing out growth over ditches. ACCUMULATING FELLING HEADS
