The Valby excavator log grapples are mounted by using a hanging mount. The grapples are of bypass design which enable a
smooth roll in and release of the timber. The timber is supported from all sides when the
grapple is closed. The jaws close down to a small minimum opening. The jaws are made of
high grade Hardox steel. The joints have bronze bearings and grease fittings. The
connection rods are on both sides of the cylinder balancing the stress to the jaws.
The
Valby Grapples can be used to update log loaders to the modern bypass design. .
